Presently, travel between Malaysia and Singapore is limited to the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL), Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) and Death, Critical illnesses, and Emergency Visits (DCEV) schemes. The government of Malaysia is in discussions with the government of Singapore on reopening the borders.
An announcement will be made by the respective governments once travelling procedures are finalized and discussions are completed.
In preparation for this, the state of Johor is conducting an early vaccination programme for selected Malaysian citizens who are considered as Economic Frontliners. Economic frontliners will have access to vaccines that are mutually recognised by both countries and will be prioritised when the borders are reopened. All submitted data will be treated in accordance to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (Act 709) or PDPA.
